Virginia C. Pottkotter, 80, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died February 19, 2012 at The Gardens at St. Henry, St. Henry, OH.
She was born December 17, 1931, in St. Sebastian, OH, to the late Clemens Schwieterman and the late Lauretta Kuess. On October 17, 1953, she married William Pottkotter, who survives.
Also surviving are six sons - Donald (Anne) Pottkotter of Celina, OH, Dale (Lois) Pottkotter of Celina, OH, Dennis (Pat) Pottkotter of St. Henry, OH, Dan (Ruth) Pottkotter of Coldwater, OH, Joe (Marie) Pottkotter of Fort Recovery, OH, Ted (Lori) Pottkotter of Fort Recovery, OH; daughter - Della (Donald) Wermert of St. Henry, OH; sister - Yolanda Schmiesing of New Bremen, OH; two brothers - Erwin (Louise) Schwieterman of Maria Stein, OH, Earl Schwieterman of Celina, OH; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law - Adeline Pottkotter, Rita Pottkotter, Marie Pottkotter all of St. Henry, OH.
Deceased is son, Joseph Pottkotter, two grandchildren, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ed (Ann) Pottkotter, Vincent Pottkotter, Albert Pottkotter, Robert (Marcia) Pottkotter, Jerome Pottkotter, Mary (Cletus) Romer, Frances (Wilfred) Hess, Agnes (Carl) Fischer, and Greg Schmiesing.
She retired from Fort Recovery Industries, Fort Recovery, was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, and it's Altar Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 am Thursday, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Wednesday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Thursday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
