Robert F. Grube , 70, Fort Recovery, Ohio, was found deceased November 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 29, 1941, in Dayton, OH, to the late Norbert C. Grube and the late Clara T. Hemmelgarn . On July 11, 1963, he married the late Alice A. Walk , who died June 30, 1998.
Surviving are 4 daughters - Cherie (Robert) Gehle of Hamilton Square, NJ, Michelle (Jerry) Stammen of Fort Recovery, OH, Angela Allard of Vansburg, KY, and Tracy Grube of Portsmouth, OH; son - Adrian (Cassandra) Grube of Fort Recovery, OH; 2 brothers - Marvin (Marti) Grube of Hollywood, FL and Gene (Elaine) Grube of Fort Recovery, OH; 2 sisters - Linda Downing of Greenville, OH and Bernice Allen of New Paris, OH; and 12 Grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Colleen Grube, 2 grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Bernard & Ronald Lee Grube.
He was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and also attended Edison State College, Piqua, Ohio and received a degree in Industrial Management.
He was a production manager at Fort Recovery Industries for 22 years and then became production manager at Cheryl Ann Work Shop, Celina, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was past president of the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, OH, in which he served as a lector and lay distributor. He was also a member of the American Legion, Fort Recovery and Catholic Knights, St. Joe, OH.
Funeral mass is 10:30 am Monday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
