Richard Journay

Richard G. Journay, 85, New Weston, Ohio, died March 26, 2013, at The Gardens at St. Henry, St. Henry, OH.
He was born May 13, 1927 in Portland, IN, to the late Alva Journay and the late Dorothy (Mills). On September 25, 1948, he married Waneta (Wright) Journay, who survives.
Also surviving are 4 daughters - Barbara (Carl) Willeford of Union City, OH, Sandra (Phillip) Hiestand of New Weston, OH, Patricia (William) Parks of Union City, OH, and Roberta Asbury of Kannapolis, NC; a sister - Margaret Yount of Greenville, OH; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and a son-in-law - Ron Weis of St. Marys, OH.
Deceased are a daughter, Carolyn Weis, a brother, Paul Journay, a sister, Garet Tomlinson, and a son-in-law, Dale Asbury Sr.
He retired from the former Avco New Idea, Coldwater, OH and farming. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #539 F&AM, Fort Recovery, Order of Eastern Star, Royal Arch Masons, Greenville, Ohio, Knights Templar Sidney Commandery #46, Sidney, Ohio and Pleasant Hill Church, Union City, Indiana.
Services are 10:30 am Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home,Fort Recovery, OH, the Rev. Bruce Bryan officiating. Burial is at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Thursday and 9:30 am-10:30 am Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
