Rebecca A. "Anne" Mcdaniel

Rebecca A. "Anne" McDaniel, 83, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died December 13, 2014 at Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, OH.
She was born July 6, 1931 in Logan, OH, to the late Charles Brush and Emma Johnson. On September 4, 1954 she married Paul E. McDaniel, who survives in Fort Recovery.
Also surviving are three sons, Paul M. McDaniel of Buckland, OH, Mark McDaniel of Troy, OH and David (Nancy) McDaniel of Miamisburg, OH; a daughter, Amanda McDaniel of Urbana, OH; seven grandchildren, Robert, Scott, Geoffrey, Morgan, Lindsay, Tyler and Jake; two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Katherine; and two in-laws, Catherine (Jim) Kobel of West Lafayette, OH and Roger McDaniel of Nelsonville, OH.
She graduated from Nelsonville High School, Nelsonville, OH and received her Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Education from Wright State University, Dayton, OH.
She retired from Marion Local Schools, Maria Stein, Ohio.
She served as president of the Fort Recovery Historical Society and Fort Recovery Band Boosters and was a member of the Athens County, Ohio First Family. Her passions included, reading, traveling, and family genealogy.
Services are 10:30 am Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. Burial will follow at Green Mound Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:30 am-10:30 am Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
