Nancy L. Moneysmith, age 89, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Mercer Health in Coldwater.
She was born on October 11, 1936, in Fort Recovery, to the late Cletus and Edith (Kleinhenz) Wangler.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian G. Moneysmith, Jr., whom she married on June 2, 1955 and who passed away on April 16, 2008; her siblings, William (Rita) Wangler, Eileen Leffler, and Ruth (Arthur) Backs; her brother-in-law, David Brinkerhoff; her in-laws, James (Bernice) Moneysmith, Esther (Richard) Shauver, Wilma Page, Everett Moneysmith, and Dawanna Axe; and her special friend, Jim King.
Nancy is survived by many loving and caring nieces and nephews, many whom she treated as her own children; her sister-in-law, Ruth Brinkerhoff of Portland, and her in-laws, John Page and Robert Axe.
A graduate of Fort Recovery High School, Class of 1954, Nancy dedicated many years to the workforce, contributing significantly to the community. She began her career at New Idea in Coldwater before spending 20 memorable years at Second National Bank in Fort Recovery, where she established lasting friendships and made an indelible mark. After her retirement in 1986, Nancy embraced life to its fullest, pursuing her passions and engaging with her loved ones.
Nancy was a member of the golfing community, finding joy on the greens as an avid golfer at the Wabash Valley Golf Club and the Portland Golf Club. Her love of the game mirrored her approach to life: cheerful, competitive, and always full of enthusiasm.
A member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery, Nancy's faith was a guiding light in her life. Her kindness and devotion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Nancy's family on Thursday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
