Mike Weagant

Mike Weagant, age 56, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at his home.

He was born on June 20, 1969, in Portland, Indiana, to James Weagant of Fort Recovery, and the late Judy (Bricker) Weagant.

In addition to his father, Mike is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carolyn (Ward) Weagant; his children, Megan (Max) Henderson of Celina, Dylan Weagant of Fort Recovery, and Faith Weagant of Fort Recovery; his grandsons, Emmitt and Witten; his sisters, Jodie (Lonnie) Weagant-Ullom of Berne, Indiana, and Janelle Weagant of Fort Recovery; and his in-laws, Chris Braun of Piqua, Ohio, and Bev (Ron) Hammel of Farmland, Indiana.

In addition to his mother, Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Chasity Weagant; and his father and mother-in-law, Leeman and Charlotte Ward.

Mike was a 1987 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He spent many years working as a dedicated truck driver for Whittington Produce. Known for his hardworking nature and generous spirit, Mike took pride in every mile he drove and every challenge he met.

A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Mike rarely missed a game. He also had a deep passion for drag racing and loved the thrill of speed.

Mike was a natural-born fixer. Whether it was a household item or a complex engine problem, he could repair just about anything. He especially loved working on cars—tackling mechanical puzzles with determination and skill.

He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his quick wit, and his talent for turning wrenches and solving problems.

Guests may visit with Mike’s family on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Mike’s family to help offset final expenses.
