Lela McMillan Eken , 92, Coldwater, Ohio, died July 25, 2013 , at Celina Manor, Celina, Ohio.
She was born October 30, 1920, in Celina, OH, to the late Ray Hoenie and the late Barbara "Retta" (Brock) Hoenie .
She married John McMillan in 1939 and he passed away in 1980. She then married William Eken in 1981 and he passed away in 2000.
Surviving are 2 sons - Tom (Sharon) McMillan of Coldwater, OH and Larry (Judy) McMillan of Walworth, NY; daughter - Gayle (William) Davis of Oceanside, CA; 7 grandchildren - Kimberly Miller, Melinda Martin, Nancy Hoying, Thomas McMillan, John McMillan, Susan Rexroat, Daniel McMillan; 17 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law - Evelyn McMillan of Portland, IN;
Deceased are daughter, Gwen Ashbaugh and son-in-law, Owen Ashbaugh; brother, Edwin Hoenie; brothers-in-law, Donald McMillan and Everett Maffet; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Maffet and Jeanette Burger, and close friend, Vernon Shultz.
She is a graduate of Celina High School, Celina, Ohio.
She was previously employed at Reynolds, Celina, the former F&J Farm Service, Coldwater, Ohio, and helped on the family farm.
She is a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church, Coldwater, Ohio and loved to crochet and was a wonderful quilter.
Services are 10:30 am Tuesday at Coldwater United Methodist Church, Coldwater, the Rev. Allan Brown officiating. Burial is at Macedon Cemetery, Coldwater.
The receiving of friends, luncheon, and fellowship will follow the services in the church hall.
Contributions can be made to Community Health Professionals Hospice or Coldwater United Methodist Church.
