Jerry A. Salyers , 64, Celina, Ohio, formerly of Dayton, OH and Fort Recovery, OH, died March 30, 2013 at his residence.
He was born February 12, 1949 in Paintsville, KY, to the late Alvin Salyers and Neva D. (Gullett)Salyers. His mother, Neva D. Salyers survives at Dayton, OH. On June 29, 1969, he married Sandra ((Taylor)) Salyers, who survives.
Also surviving are daughter - Lori (Dr. David) Rohrer of Fort Recovery, 2 sisters - Rose Jeffries of Huber Heights, OH and Paula Salyers of Huber Heights; 2 brothers - Gary "Mike" Salyers of Huber Heights and John Salyers of Huber Heights, 3 grandchildren - Natalie, Sara, and Emma Rohrer, all of Fort Recovery; brothers and sisters-in-law - William (Faye) Taylor of New Castle, IN, James (Patricia) Taylor of Beavercreek, OH, Jack (Mindy) Taylor of Celina, OH, Richard (Kristy) Taylor of Beavercreek, OH Rosemary Taylor of Dayton, OH, and Marilyn (Larry) Childs of Muncie, IN;
Also deceased is a brother, Billy Salyers.
He retired in 1997 from Harrison Radiator (GM), Dayton.
He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a purple heart recipient. He was a member of American Legion Post 345, Fort Recovery.
Services are 10:30 am Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Dennis Kelly officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, OH and 9:30 am-10:30 am Wednesday at the church. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion.

Contributions can be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County or State of the Heart Hospice.
