Jason R. Geier, more commonly known as "Chainsaw", age 38, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born on September 7, 1985, in Coldwater, Ohio, to Randy and Sharon (Jutte) Geier.

In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his wife of 12 years, Melissa (Otte) Geier, whom he married on June 4, 2011; his sons, Michell, Ethan, Levi, and Curtis; his brothers, Steven (Ashlie) Geier of Fort Recovery, Kevin (Elizabeth) Geier of Coldwater, and Brent (Kim) Geier of New Weston; his father-in-law, Thomas Otte of Osgood; his in-laws, Jennifer Otte of Osgood, Laura Otte of Seattle, Washington, and Dave (Christie) Otte of Russia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norbert and Rose Geier and Julius and Betty Jutte; his niece, Eve Geier; and his mother-in-law, Christine Otte.

Jason was a 2004 graduate of Coldwater High School. He worked for Mercer County Electric in Fort Recovery as an electrician for 20 years. Jason was a member of the Ohio Progressive Sportsman Club, Fort Recovery Gun Club, Pheasants Forever, Fort Recovery VFW Auxiliary, and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was also a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sharpsburg.

"Chainsaw" never met a stranger. He was truly the life of the party and was always out to make sure others had a good time and that they had a smile on their face. He enjoyed drinking a cold beer, bowling, and playing cards. "Chainsaw" enjoyed hunting, especially bear hunting. His passion for hunting inspired him to teach Hunter Safety courses to others. His infectious smile and friendly personality will be missed.
