Janice E. Hart, 64, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on October 7, 2011, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born May 17, 1947, to the late Henry A. Gels and the late Anna Broerman. On July 2, 1966, she married the late Marvin J. Hart, who died July 30, 1993.
Surviving are 3 daughters - Lisa (Jerry) Haas of Columbus, OH, Beth (Sean) O'Connor of Fort Recovery, OH, Lori Hart of Fort Recovery, OH; son - Brian (Kate) Hart of Mason, Ohio; 2 sisters - Eileen (Eugene) Bruns of Burkettsville, Ohio, Lois Ann (Dennis) Brunswick of Coldwater, OH; 4 brothers - Ken (Joyce) Gels of Livermore, CA, Bob (Norma) Gels of Eaton, OH, Frank (Lorae) Gels of Englewood, OH, Ralph (Janet) Gels of Coldwater, OH; and 8 grandchildren. She has a sister, Mary Lou Weis, who is deceased.
She was a 1965 graduate of St. Henry High School, St. Henry, Ohio.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Post 345, Ft. Recovery, OH, a volunteer at Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville, Ohio, a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Ohio and its Altar Rosary Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 am, Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Paul Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Ohio.
Calling is 1:00 pm-7:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
