James E. Roberts

James E. Roberts, 83, 103 S. Elm St., Fort Recovery, died at 1:40 P.M. at his residence.
He was born April 13, 1926 in Flemingsburg, KY to the late James Roberts and the late Effie Stacy. He married Betty Brown on April 28, 1951 at Covington, KY and she survives.
Other survivors are Daughter, Kathy (John) Wolf of Fort Recovery, OH, Daughter, Beck (Chuck) Wolf of Coldwater, OH, Son, Bob (Lori) Roberts of Portland, IN, Daughter, Kristina (Aaron) Olsen of Marysville, OH, 2 Sisters, Rhoda Derringer of Ridgeville, IN, and Alberta Roberts of Estespark, CO, 20 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, Daughter-in-Law, Sherry Roberts of Salamonia, IN.
Deceased are 1-son, James Roberts Jr; 7 brothers, Russell, Arvil, Arie, Clellan, Elmer, Austin & Leo; 2 sisters, Flora Pendelton and Addie Mae Phenis.
He served in the US Navy during WWII and retired from the former Westinghouse, Union City, IN. He also operated Robert's Tree Service, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
He is a member of the First Church of Christ, Fort Recovery, OH.
Services are 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 22, 2010 at First Church of Christ, Fort Recovery with Dr.Gary Snowden officiating.
Calling is 2-8 P.M. Thursday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio and Friday 9:30 till services at the church.
Contributions can be made to the wishes of the family. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
