James L. Bubp, 73, 1712 Union City Rd., Fort Recovery, OH, died at 1:11 am April 15, 2011, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, OH. He was born March 3, 1938, in Fort Recovery, OH, to the late Frederick Bubp and the late Mary Moeller. On November 23, 1961, he married Charlene Ann Bubp who died October 17, 2008.
Surviving are 2 sons - Bradley (Maria) Bubp of Piqua, OH, Brian (Melinda) Bubp of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 brothers - Tom (Marilyn) Bubp of Englewood, Ohio, Dave (Cheryl) Bubp of Celina, Ohio, Steve Bubp of Van Wert, Ohio; sister - Janice (Ralph) Jutte of Hebron, OH; and 5 Grandchildren.
Deceased are infant sister, Virginia Bubp and brother, Jerry Bubp.
He was a 1956 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, Fort Recovery, Ohio and attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
He was a former owner of Fort Recovery Lumber Co., Fort Recovery, Ohio.
He was a U.S. veteran and served in the Army. He served on the Fort Recovery Fire Department and was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, OH.
Services are 10:30 am, Monday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, OH, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Ft. Recovery, OH.
Calling is 1:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, OH.
