Edwin A. Siegrist

Edwin A. Siegrist, 94, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died December 4, 2012 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, OH.
He was born April 1, 1918, in St. Peter, OH, to the late Anthony Siegrist and the late Rose (Miller) Siegrist. On August 28, 1948, he married Mary (Klosterman) Siegrist, who survives.
Also surviving are 3 sons - Paul (Alberta) Siegrist of St. Henry, OH, Joe (Diane) Siegrist of Jay County, IN, Andrew (Pamela) Siegrist of Fort Recovery; 3 daughters - Rita McEldowney of Fort Recovery, Diana (Duane) Mendenhall of Yorkshire, OH, Ruth (Mark) Beyke of Fort Recovery; 24 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law - Dolores Siegrist of Fort Recovery, OH, and Rose Siegrist of Fort Wright, KY.
Deceased is a son-in-law, Mark McEldowney, three grandchildren, four brothers, Otto, Odillo "Shorty", Urban and Ivo Siegrist, and four sisters, Leona Schmidt, Barbara Kreuzjans, Imelda Wilker, and Celine Homan.
He retired from farming and was a self employed Drag Line owner/operator.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, Ohio and it's Holy Name Society.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 am Friday, December 7, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, the Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Peter Cemetery, St. Peter, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Thursday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
