Donald Martin

Donald L. Martin, 64, 213 W. Caldwell St., Fort Recovery, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born February 23, 1946, in Portland, IN, to the late Ora F. Martin and the late Edwina J. Bright. On January 21, 1970, he married Mary Joyce Ulmer, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Michael (Kim) Strohl of Fort Recovery, OH, daughter, Rhonda Theurer of Portland, IN, daughter, Tracy Stahley of Portland, IN, brother, Michael (Susan) Martin of Portland, IN, brother, Richard (Irene) Martin of Portland, IN, and 7 grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Frederick Martin.
He was a graduate of the former Portland High School, Portland, IN and retired from Teledyne Portland Forge, Portland, IN.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was wounded in action, in 1968 and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose and Disabled American Veterans, both of Portland, IN, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Trinity Lutheran Church, all of Fort Recovery . Services are 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio, the Rev. Charles Boomhower officiating. Burial is at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio .
Calling is 4-8 P.M. Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. till services at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
