Cyrillus A. "Cy" Wendel, 79, 201 Harrison St., Fort Recovery, died at 7:35 P.M., February 4, 2010 at his residence.
He was born November 28, 1930 in St. Peter, Ohio to the late Joseph Wendel and the late Catherine Voskuhl. He married Nancy (Steva) on October 23, 1954 at St. Joe, Ohio and she survives.

Deceased are 1 sister, Agnes Muhlenkamp; 4 brothers, Art, Vitus, Frederick and Carl Wendel.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from Schmitt's Fur Farm, Fort Recovery, Ohio after 46 years. He was a Life member, Past Commander, Bingo Caller & Financial officer of the American Legion Post 345, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, both of Fort Recovery and a former Bingo caller for Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Ft. Recovery, Ohio.
Services are 10:30 A.M. Monday, February 8, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, Ohio, Fr. Charles Mullen officiating.
Visitation is 1-6 P.M. Sunday and 9-9:45 A.M. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Contributions can be made to Visiting Nurses & Hospice, Celina, Ohio. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion,Fort Recovery.
