Craig "Tunzy" A. Day, age 65, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born on September 26, 1960, in Union City, Ohio, to Ardith (Butt) Day of Fort Recovery and the late Glenn Day, Jr.
In addition to his mother, Craig is survived by his siblings, Glenna (Terry) Hall of Saratoga, Indiana, and Kim (Elaine) Day of Fort Recovery; his nieces and nephews, Lauren Day of Fort Recovery, Giles Day of Fort Recovery, Macy (Kent) Buschur of St. Henry, Chris (Sarah) Nearon of Fort Recovery, Joy (Jason) Willeford of Saratoga, Zach (Dana) Hall of Portland, and Jordan (Dustyn) Hangen of Winchester; as well as 14 great-nieces and great-nephews and 2 great-great-nieces.
Craig was a 1979 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. Following graduation, he spent 30 years working in the Houston, Texas area in the construction and heavy equipment industry. He was known for his strong work ethic and independent spirit. In his free time, Craig enjoyed the freedom of the open road and could often be found riding his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
A private funeral service will be held for his family. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Fort Recovery.
Memorial contributions may be given to EverHeart Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
