Barbara Ann Siegrist, age 79, of Celina, formerly of Fort Recovery, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 20, 2025 surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 16, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, and was the only child of the late James and Cora (Ryan) Bishop.
In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Siegrist, Sr, whom she married on February 5, 1966, and who passed away on November 17, 2017; her granddaughters, Kelsee Brown and Natalie Siegrist; sister in-law, Donna Siegrist.
Barb is survived by her children, Melvin Siegrist, Jr. of New Port Richey, Florida, Melissa Brown of Celina, and Todd (Julie) Siegrist of Fort Recovery; her 8 grandchildren; her 8 great grandchildren; and her in-laws, Jerry Siegrist of Greenville, Sharon (Jim) Jennings of Lewisburg, and Linda (John) Boeckman of Coldwater.
Barb was a 1964 graduate of Kaiser High School in Dayton. She retired from Dannon in Minster, where she worked for many years. Barb belonged to the Senior Center in Celina and enjoyed participating in the garage sales there. She also belonged to the Widow and Widowers club and the Rediscovering Joy Club. Barb loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She enjoyed going to all of their activities and events. Barb had an interest in diamond dot art, campfires, gardening, going on bus trips, watching humming birds, and making friends everywhere she went. Barb loved her cats and dog, RJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday July 26, 2025, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Guests may visit with Barb's family on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Natalie Siegrist Memorial Fund through the Fort Recovery Community Foundation. Please make any contributions payable to the foundation with Natalie's name in the memo.
