Ralph S. Ranly, 90, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died September 3, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH, following a motorcyle accident in Mercer County, Ohio, August 16, 2011.
He was born September 6, 1920, in Fort Recovery, Ohio, OH, to the late Joseph J. Ranly and the late Veronica E. Fink. Surviving are one brother - David Ranly of Columbus, Ohio; and one sister - Marceil Kelly of Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Jerome and Richard Ranly.
He was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School, Fort Recovery, OH.
He was employed as a machinist at the former Shellers, Portland, IN and the former Hardys, Union City, IN.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 345 and Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, both of Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday and 9:00 AM-10:00 AM Wednesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
