Ralph P. "Nibs" Nieberding , 82, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on February 26, 2015, at Celina Manor, Celina, Ohio. He was born February 18, 1933, in Coldwater, OH, to the late Leo Nieberding and the late Helen (Brackman) Nieberding.
Surviving are a brother, Paul (Charlotte) Nieberding of Mesa, AZ; three sisters, Marianne Remaklus of Fort Recovery, Patricia Sommer of Fort Recovery, and Janet (Tom) Bennett of Nesbit, MS; and a number of nieces & nephews.
Also deceased are a sister, Alma Kaup; brothers-in-law, Joe Remaklus, Alvin Kaup and Hubert Sommer.
He was a 1951 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was retired from Teledyne Forge, Portland, IN.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 345, Fort Recovery and Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Through the years he enjoyed making photo albums of news articles from the former Fort Recovery Journal. He also enjoyed WW II history and after retirement he opened his shop every morning for friends to visit.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion.
