Louis E. " Elmer" Garke , 68, Versailles, OH, died at 12:30 pm at his residence. He was born April 15, 1942, in Wendelin, OH, to the late Raphael H. Garke and the late Anna C. Ahrns. On December 6, 1976 at Frenchtown, Ohio, he married Barbara (Bey) Garke, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 brothers - Ray (Joan) Garke of St. Henry, OH, Jim (Betty) Garke of Burkettsville, OH; 3 sisters - Janice (Mario) Curci of Fort Recovery, OH, Beatrice (Ken) Alig of Fort Recovery, OH, Marceil (Roman) Hemmelgarn of Fort Recovery, OH; Brother-In-Law - Marvin (Gail) Bey of Anna, Ohio;
He was a member of Catholic Knights, St. Joe, Ohio, National American Watch Clock Chapter 23, Moraine, Ohio and Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown, Ohio and a former member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Wendelin, OH.
Services are 10:30 am, Monday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Wendelin, OH, the Rev. Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial is at St. Wendelin Cemetery, Wendelin, OH.
Calling is 2:00 pm-7:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, OH.
