Julianna C. Wellman, 92, Portland, Indiana, died on December 15, 2011, at The Gardens at St. Henry, St. Henry, Ohio. She was born May 22, 1919, in St. Joe, OH, to the late Joseph Westgerdes and the late Mary Steinburnner. On February 7, 1948, she married the late Norbert Wellman, who died May 18, 1987.
Surviving are daughter - Thelma (Gerald) Weitzel of Coldwater, OH; three sons - Harold Wellman of Indianapolis, IN, Larry (Katherine) Wellman of Rockville, Maryland, Roger (Judy) Wellman of Bryant, IN; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters - Dorothy (Don) Muhlenkamp of Fort Recovery, OH, Rosella "Sally" (Bob) Muhlenkamp of Portland, IN, Naomi Maynard of Oxford, Mass; a brother - Arnold (Viola) Westgerdes of Fort Recovery, OH; and a sister-in-law - Ruth Westgerdes of Fort Recovery, OH.
Deceased are daughter, Alice Wellman; five brothers, Norbert, Clarence, Wilbert, Andrew & Rolandis Westgerdes; three sisters, Irene Kahlig, Mary Agnes Westgerdes, and Mary Alice Westgerdes.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, Ohio.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am, Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, Ohio, the Fr. Richard Walling officiating. Burial is at St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Anthony.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Tuesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Contributions may be directed to the Alzheimers Foundation
