Joe Meiring

Joe Meiring , 82, Fort Recovery, OH, died on August 1, 2013, at Wisner, Louisiana. He was born June 6, 1931, in Sharpsburg, OH, to the late Bernard H. Meiring and the late Julia (Fiely) Meiring.
Surviving are 2 sisters - Verena (Thomas) Humenny of Sacramento, CA and Esther Hoffpauir of Wisner, LA; brother - Daniel (Pat) Meiring of Centerville, OH; 2 brothers-in-law - Wilbert Gerlach of Fort Recovery, OH and Bernard Wahrer of Dayton, OH; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Deceased are brothers, Fr. Arnold Meiring, William Meiring, and Fr. Bernard Meiring; sisters, Lillian Wahrer and Ruth Gerlach; brother-in-law, John Hoffpauir and sister-in-law, Margaret Meiring.
He was a successful dairy farmer for many years prior to retiring.
He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Ohio and it's Holy Name Society.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Ohio.
Calling is 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Tuesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
