Jerome L. Pottkotter, 84, 2150 St. Rt. 119, Fort Recovery, died at his residence December 23, 2009.
He was born March 31, 1925, in Fort Recovery to the late John Henry Pottkotter and the late Irene Matilda Laux. He married Rita May on September 30, 1950 at St. Henry, and she survives.
He served in the US Navy during WWII.

He retired from the former Avco New Idea, Coldwater and was a farmer. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Ohio Progressive Sportsman Club, all of Fort Recovery. He was also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, and its Holy Name society.
Services are 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 P.M. Monday and Tuesday from 9-9:45 A.M. at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
