Jeffrey D. Smith, 51, Portland, Indiana, died February 14, 2012 at Reed Memorial Hospital, Richmond, IN.
He was born January 1, 1961, in Portland, IN, to the late Marion Smith and Norma (Rohrer) Smith who survives in Fort Recovery, Ohio. On May 17, 2002, he married Pamela (Myers) Smith, who survives.
Also surviving are brother, William Joe Smith of Fort Recovery, OH and brother-in-law, Bill (Karen) Stump of Jacksonville, FL.
Deceased is a sister, Mary Stump.
He was formerly employed at Red Gold, Geneva, IN and was a driver for Amish carpenters.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the American Legion, Portland, IN and formerly served as a volunteer fireman for the Portland Fire Department. He was also a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 am, Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
