Genevieve M. Staugler

Genevieve M. Staugler, 97, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on July 26, 2013, at Celina Manor, Celina, Ohio. She was born April 29, 1916, in Redkey, IN, to the late Leo Green and the late Osta Landess. On June 26, 1948, she married the late Werner "Dick" Staugler, who died March 16, 2008.
Surviving are 5 daughters - Cindy (Stan) Rainey of Hilton Head, SC, Sandy (Carl) Hastings of Fort Recovery, Peg (Dave) Bretz of Fort Recovery, Pat (Don) Wendel of Fort Recovery, and Lisa Wendel of Fort Recovery; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother-in-law - Ralph Staugler of Fort Recovery; and 4 sisters-in-law - Vi Hagedorn of Tipp City, OH, Janet Green of Portland, IN, Edith Green of Portland, IN and Helen Staugler of Fort Recovery.
Also deceased are a son-in-law, Gary Wendel, a step daughter, Beverly Ann Sauer, three sisters, Latresha Spade, Demeris Smith, and, Janice Garringer, and five brothers, Kenneth, Ernest, Robert, Cletus and Milo Green.
She was a graduate of the former Governor IPGray High School, Jay County, IN, was a member of Benevolet and Protective Order of Elks Lodge, Celina, Ohio and Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Tuesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be directed to Stand up 2 Cancer.
