Betty Jean Brockman, 83, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on August 13, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born August 28, 1928, in St. Henry, OH, to the late Harry Bergman and the late Pauline Albers. On July 10, 1948, she married the late Cyril "Cy" Brockman , who died January 5, 2009.
Surviving are 5 sons - Cy Jr. (Linda) Brockman of Fort Recovery, OH, Mike Brockman of Fort Recovery, OH, Mitch Brockman of Fort Recovery, OH, Jim (Pat) Brockman of Fort Recovery, OH, Joe (Pat) Brockman of Portland, IN; 2 daughters - Vicky (Roger) Knapke of Coldwater, OH, Brenda (Mark) Eichenauer of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 brothers - Melvin (Peg) Bergman of Fort Recovery, OH, Jack (Jean) Bergman of St. Henry, OH, Floyd (Joan) Bergman of Fort Recovery, OH; 2 sisters - Marjorie Vogel of Coldwater, OH, Elsie (Roscoe) Timmerman of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 sisters-in-law - Kathryn Bergman of Fort Recovery, OH, Mercedes Bergman of Fort Recovery, OH, Lillian Brockman of Fort Recovery, OH; 23 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren..
Deceased are sister, Ruth Finch, brothers, Ralph, Bob, Walter, and Lavern Bergman; and brother-in-law, Vernon Brockman.
She was a 1946 graduate of Fort Recovery High School.
She was employed at Brockman Funeral Home & Furniture Store and Brockman Appliances, both of Fort Recovery, OH.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilliary, and Daughters of Isabella Circle 810, all of Fort Recovery. She was also a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Altar Sodality of the church, and Catholic Knights, St. Joe, OH.
Funeral mass is 10:30 am Thursday, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Wednesday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Thursday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
