Alvin D. Kaup, 83, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on July 12, 2012, at The Gardens at St. Henry, St. Henry, Ohio. He was born December 20, 1928, in St. Peter, OH, to the late John Kaup and the late Mary Catherine (Knoth). On February 6, 1952, he married the late Alma (Nieberding) Kaup, who died July 23, 1997.
Surviving are 2 daughters - Marjorie (David) Haines of Franklin, TN, Linda (Dave) Guggenbiller of Portland, IN; 4 sons - Bob (Brenda) Kaup of Fort Recovery, OH, Rick (Lisa) Kaup of Berne, IN, Kenny (Jane) Kaup of Chandler, AZ, Dennis (Brenda) Kaup of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 brothers - Adrian (Bernice) Kaup of Fort Recovery, OH, Dale (Donna) Kaup of St. Anthony, OH, Floyd Kaup of Coldwater, OH; sister - Irene (Mark) Hein of Coldwater, OH; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Deceased are a grandchild, a sister-in-law, Ginny Kaup, and a step mother, Hazel Kaup.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Korean War, and retired as a truck driver from Cooper Farms, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, Fort Recovery, Ohio and Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 am, Monday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 1:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
